Introducing InstaSupport: Simplified Customer Support for Startups

Startups often face a familiar dilemma when it comes to customer support.
On one end of the spectrum lies the chaos of managing support through an email inbox, where messages are buried in threads, replies get lost, and valuable feedback disappears. On the other end are heavy enterprise-grade helpdesk systems that take weeks to configure and feel more suited to large corporations than to small, fast-moving teams.

InstaSupport was created to bridge that gap.

Why We Built InstaSupport

I am Jeroen, founder of InstaSupport and a full-stack developer with years of experience building web applications, primarily in Ruby on Rails, and helping customers resolve their technical issues. Over time, I noticed a recurring frustration among startups and small teams: customer support was either too unstructured or too complex.

Many teams begin with a shared inbox. It works for a short time, but as conversations multiply, things become unmanageable. The natural next step is often to adopt a large, professional helpdesk solution, which usually introduces unnecessary overhead and costs. The result is a difficult middle ground, where teams are stuck between disorganization and over-engineering.

I experienced this problem firsthand. At a previous company, we managed support through a mix of chat and email. Developers would send code snippets through live chat, while customers followed up through email. Important details were scattered across multiple channels, and the lack of structure made it difficult to collaborate effectively or maintain continuity. It was not that we lacked motivation to help our users, but rather that our tools were not built for the realities of small teams.

That experience led to a question that kept coming up in conversations with other founders:
Is there a lightweight support tool that sits between email and a full enterprise platform?

InstaSupport was built to be that tool.

What is InstaSupport

InstaSupport is a lightweight support platform designed to help startups and small businesses handle user requests without the friction of traditional ticketing systems. It is fast to set up, simple to use, and built with both developers and non-technical users in mind.

Here is what InstaSupport offers:

  • Instant Support Requests
Users can create a support request within minutes without needing to register. Each request supports screenshots and code snippets, allowing them to describe their issue clearly and efficiently.

  • Custom Support Forms for Businesses
Companies can create branded forms that match their visual identity. All requests submitted through these forms appear neatly in a centralized dashboard, each with a shareable link.

  • Minimal Setup, Maximum Clarity
Getting started takes only a few minutes. There is no configuration process or lengthy onboarding. The system is designed to work immediately.

  • Structured Collaboration
Every ticket keeps the conversation transparent and organized. Developers, support agents, and customers can comment, attach files, and track progress in one unified thread.

  • Privacy and Access Control
Businesses can decide whether a ticket should be public or private. Notification and visibility settings can be adjusted to maintain full control over sensitive data.

  • Analytics and Insights (Coming soon)
As your support activity grows, InstaSupport will help you identify common issues, monitor response times, and improve your processes with clear, actionable insights.

  • Free for Everyone
The core features of InstaSupport are free. Startups should not have to choose between quality support and conserving resources. Advanced capabilities may be introduced in the future, but the essentials will always remain free.

InstaSupport simplifies the act of giving and receiving help. It removes unnecessary complexity so teams can focus on solving problems rather than managing tools.

How It Works

Using InstaSupport is straightforward and efficient.

  1. A user submits a request
The user fills out a short form describing the issue and may include screenshots or code. No account creation is required.

  2. A unique ticket is generated
Each submission produces a shareable link, and both the user and the business receive an immediate email notification.

  3. Collaboration begins
Communication takes place directly on the ticket. Comments, attachments, and updates are all stored in one organized place.

  4. Resolution and closure
Once the issue is resolved, the ticket is closed. Both parties retain a complete record of the exchange for future reference.

The entire process takes seconds and provides the structure of a professional support platform without the burden of setup or maintenance.

Who We Are

InstaSupport is built by a small and dedicated team.

I am Jeroen, the developer behind the product. My background is in full-stack web development, with a focus on building tools that make life easier for developers and businesses alike. I have spent years in customer support, both building software and helping users troubleshoot it. InstaSupport brings those two experiences together into one mission: to make customer support fast, transparent, and enjoyable again.

My co-founder, Sofia, brings expertise in communication, marketing, and customer success. She ensures that what we build truly addresses the needs of startups and small businesses. Her hands-on experience with clients has shaped many of our design choices, helping us prioritize clarity and empathy.

Together, we are building InstaSupport from the ground up with a shared belief that great support should not require complex systems or large budgets.

Why InstaSupport is Different

The market is full of support software, but most tools are either too heavy or too limited. InstaSupport takes a different approach, focusing on simplicity and trust.

  • Built by its Users
We are creating InstaSupport as developers who have experienced the same challenges. Every feature exists to solve a real, practical problem.

  • Simplicity Over Features
Our priority is usability. If a feature does not make support faster or clearer, it does not belong.

  • Feedback-Driven Development
Early users directly shape the roadmap. Features like code snippet support, embeddable forms, and link sharing all originated from real conversations with teams using the product.

  • Transparency and Trust
There are no hidden fees or unnecessary data collection. We believe that good software should respect its users and their time.
